Pulmonary Function Lab - Information for Patients
Pulmonary Function Testing is easy as well as very informative and gives your doctor the opportunity to understand how well (or poorly) your lungs are functioning. Each test takes approximately one hour and is divided into different "sections" that measure different aspects of lung function. Most of the testing involves blowing into a machine to obtain measurements. Occasionally, your physician may request a blood sample to measure oxygen levels in the blood. Our respiratory technicians have years of experience in performing pulmonary tests and will guide you through the process.
The Pulmonary Function Laboratory of Connecticut accepts all major health insurance programs. Our staff can help with any questions that may arise.
